And never mind the squash I stuffed unceremoniously into the clay. It's all rotting from the ground up. Guess I'll just have to eat the flowers because it looks like I'll never get anything else from the $2 or so worth of those plants. I do have a bunch of cayenne peppers looking good though, and they'll be good for the winter sinus and throat problems. The german thyme I planted is definitely in distress, but my new rosemary is doing just fine, and the lemon thyme is blooming. I use a rosemary and olive oil combination as a hair and scalp conditioner.
It doesn't do anything about the curl of course, but I do believe it helps to prevent hair loss and promote growth. I decided to live without a blowdryer or flat iron for at least the summer. If there's one thing I have always coveted, it's perfectly straight hair, and the only way I can have it is if I iron the heck out of mine. Hmph! I'd rather save the electricity.
