Menstrual cups...Whaat?

I am always searching for ways to be thrifty and to produce less waste, and I finally stumbled upon a solution to that womanly issue that I may or may not like, but I'm sure giving it a try as soon as my order gets here and opportunity knocks again. There are so many sources of information about this alternative to other means of dealing with the by product of the normal womanly cycle:http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/ins-and-outs-menstrual-cups-151-how-do-they-differ-tampons-and-pads And, there are so many choices when it comes to purchasing! I just did my favorite thing - Amazon, and found a cheap trial product.

The product that I bought looks pretty much like one of these. Haha-no more spending $4 a month! I am raising an all girl tribe and our monthly consumption of sanitary goods was pretty outrageous for several
years before my two oldest daughters flew the coop. I think they'll be getting some interesting Birthday presents this year. After testing, this is a really good thing..for me anyway. I discovered that my daughter had tried another variety which she didn't like at all.  I don't know how this one is, because I haven't tried it yet. So far I am quite satisfied with the one that I bought for $8.99-medical grade silicon, with a trimmable stem.
