When I see things like this, it fuels my quiet rage:

Studies are notorious for skewed interpretations. The media particularly negates any trace of objectivity when it reports on study findings. Here is a personal account of the health effects of electronic nicotine delivery devices: I replaced conventional cigarettes with vaping devices back in 2014 and I have not had a single bad bronchial infection since I did so! Prior to this change, I was assured a bad bout of bronchitis at least once a year. Incidently, I never cough in the morning when I wake up, I don't struggle with phlegm issues, my breath doesn't stink, my clothes don't stink, my house doesn't stink, my children hardly ever get sick, and when they do, it's from a common cold or some other microorganism picked up in a public place. My dogs are with me 24/7, and the quick to dissipate clouds of vapor I produce seem to have no ill effect on them. I make my own e-juice and I love all of the yummy flavors I can create. There is NO comparison to the taste of a cigarette and I like it that way. vaping helps me cope with the terrible pain I am in most of the time due to my extremely bad back. I find vaping to be satisfying and calming. No, I'm no big fancy medical establishment or scientific laboratory. I'm just an ordinary citizen that is quite capable of analyzing the effects of my actions, and the effects of substances I take into my body. I don't need a bunch of equipment to make my point. Do doctors always run every possible test before they reach a diagnosis that proves to be accurate? No. They run the tests which they believe to be most relevant to the presenting symptoms. (Some truly are better at this than others, but there are many other factors involved) So, based on the tests which I consider most relevant, most particularly the evidence presented by the findings within my own body, st this time I conclude that vaping is not harmful to former smokers and may very well be a fabulous smoking cessation aid. If nicotine gum and the like are available without prescriptions, electronic nicotine delivery devices should be equally available. Incidently, how many of you have watched the Sherlock Holmes series? Do you recall his fondness for those nicotine patches? Yeah, it was just a show. Remember, the popular news outlets are shows too. The news shows are vastly less intellectually stimulating! They are designed to sell you a set of opinions, not inform you of solid facts. I'm sure you have been bombarded with stories that replace a percentage of risk or a noticed correlation with an assertion of fact. I am completely disgusted when I hear people repeating these fictitious assertions ad nauseum. All of this douchy bashing is going on because the money paradigm is shifting into different hands and some spoiled old fear mongering fat cats just don't like it. They have had their way for way too long. They are not accustomed to a public that does anything other than swallow the pablum they have formulated. They are afraid that they may lose their riches. That is what it's really about. Not what is healthy or good for the plebeians. They want only what is healthy and good for the maintenance of their status quo.
