As Good as it Gets? You're kidding, right?

It has been over 7 months since the last serious croak out with my back, and I do consider it much improved. I still have almost no sitting power, no bending power and no squatting powers, but I am doing OK without serious pain killers. (As long as I avoid those certain misery inducers) This is great! So now begins the cautious journey into building my body strength back up again. I intend to do so within the framework of that which causes me no more pain. I do still have a level of constant pain, but it is SO much better than it has been that I am greatful. I can take some almost normal strides when walking, so walking will be increased. I can do some weight exercises with my arms as long as I keep the back straight, so yes to those too. I discovered today that I can actually bring my foot up and grab it with my hand with a straight back, so time to put some more effort into flexibility! I suspect that doing more and extended sitting will result in only more and extended misery based on past trials, so that is out. The quest for straight backed exercise routines is on! I simply must find a way to grub in the garden soon too. This might involve some creative tool management, but I believe it is highly possible. This might be as good as it gets, but then again, it might get even better. I think I'll start with a teeny little quarter mile walk and see how the legs like it. The tingling I can handle, but worse-I just dont; know! When the nurse practitioner I saw last looked up and told me that there was no cure, I was disbelieving. I still am. But then again, I came home in some misery last night after my little job, and I haven't done much of anything all day.
