How RJ Reynolds dissapointed me and how a good friend helped me

Now that I no longer partake, I will confess to the now politically incorrect action that I indulged for 30 years. Haha, no wonder I had what was suspected to be asthma! My name is..irrelevant, and I was once a hard core smoker that started puffing away like mad at the tender age of 14.  Let me tell you from tons of experience-smoking isn't a mere easily cureable little habit similar to nose picking! It starts insidiously, and then it becomes indispensable and in these modern days dreadfully expensive. Mainly, the expense is what pissed me off. I like to be thrifty and this indulgence of mine had become exorbitantly annoying. I thought of all the things other than things gone in puffs of smoke that I could have been buying if only I wasn't caught on the hook of physical and psychological need. Oh yes, I tried to quit with all sorts of strategies that didn't involve pharmaceutical intervention. I once quit cold turkey for 6 months and went raging bonkers. You see, nicotine does things to the brain that are actually beneficial for some of us. It does things that affect our ability to wake, sleep and process emotions. All in wonderfully good ways for me! It can also impact pain perception. I find that it lessens my pain perception. The information is out there supporting what I'm writing and I don't feel like listing links. Just please give it a Googling. Yeah, I'm lazy today.
So, how did I buck the monkey? Well, truthfully I traded it for a less costly fix. It all started with some free Vuse e cig coupons. I Vused through those cartridges so fast once I got the hang of drawing on a non combustion nicotine delivery system that I found myself spending even more money on those annoyances than I had been spending on Pall Malls. So not the plan! I had a friend that had gotten into vaping and she was my go to for nicotine fix whines. Thank you my friend! This wonderful friend observed my efforts with the non satisfactory puny little Vuse and blessed me with her old Halo vape pen set up. Oh Halo, how I love thee! My friend has since moved on to more exotic vaping systems and I have moved on to making my own e juice. I love Halo's e juice-especially Prime 15, but due to my extreme love for nicotine and the whole vaping thing I was finding this e juice to be nearly as expensive in the quantity it takes for my satisfaction as cigarettes once were. I don't compare vaping to smoking and never did. What I did was compare methods of delivering my fix! The gum and patch never satisfied the orally fixated psychological component, nor did they rapidly deliver that oh so satisfying drug like the good old lung hits. The Vuse had serious financial  and fix strength delivery flaws, whilst the Halo set up delivered satisfying fixes with parts that didn't constantly need replacing. The first coil lasted two weeks through some dark e juice varieties and hard drawing. I have gotten much better at making equipment last as my eperience has grown. Tanks can last me for months. Batteries? Well I recently replaced one of the smaller batteries that my friend gave me with a prettier version in the same voltage. Oh yes, vaping can breed some vanity and it is so enjoyable! I particularly love Halo's Irridescent batteries. Check out some Halo here:
http://www.halocigs.com/ I vainly bought some new colored tanks since they are on sale! Halo has never done me wrong! Some people rave about bottom coil tank designs and I just had to try it out for myself, so I bought a dirt cheap Evod blister pack here:
https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com
(My Freedom Smokes delivers fast too! I got the Evod the day after I ordered it.)This little sucker does indeed require a bit of a lighter suck than the top coil style that I have become accustomed to using. I think I shall order some coils with greater ohms until I get used to it. Making one's own e juice isn't as dangerous and complicated as some would have a person think. Or maybe I am just a little fearless when it comes to certain chemicals? There are even online calculators for determining ratios of nicotine to non nicotine liquids & flavorings that make it really super easy if you don't feel like doing the math yourself. Accurate measurements are important-especially if you buy a highly nicotine concentrated liquid and must cut it down. I like my nicotine at 24mg/ml. I can vape fiendishly without O.D.ing this way. Like I wrote earlier-I am definitely a nicotine dependant organism! Some flavorings are yummy, some are nasty, and some can ruin a plastic tank! I have been experimenting for the past few months and now have a few satisfactory flavors that I vape constantly. Clear e juice seems to be better for coil longevity, and I have had great satisfaction with a 50/50 polyethylene glycol to vegetable glycerin mix in my Halo tanks. Some people prefer different ratios and I too may change mine as I evolve on my vaping journey. Now I am coveting a pipe mod and contemplating building my own. The main goal of this all is satisfying fix and cost effectiveness though, so I mustn't lose my perspective. Now I despise those things that look like cigarettes and have the fake red light thing on the end, and sneer at Camels. I vape around the house contentedly exuding sweet scents as my mother steps outside to smoke her vile Winstons in the rain. I chucked my rescue inhalers and haven't had a single wheeze in the almost 6 months since I traded monkeys. If you happen to think nicotine is a bad thing and believe it should be avoided...I'm chortling.
