My fancy little DIY e juice kit..(Not)

One thing that I quickly discovered when I started vaping was that buying premade e juice was getting expensive due to my huge appetite. It was really narrowing the savings margin! I began studying how to make my own cheaper stuff that could be tolerable. There is so much confusing information available! So many droppers, pipettes, bottles, etc that are suggested as indispensable for this endeavor! Oh ho, lets cut through that! I saved all of my bottles from premade e juice purchases, washed them out and let them dry. No need for me to buy containers! I happened to have a milliliter syringe calibrated to tenths of a mil, so I didn't need one of those. When fooling with nicotine, accurate measurement is everything, lest one O.D. or be disappointed by a weak mix. I also handily had a dropper calculated to the millimeter. This is all I needed for my first experiments other than the nicotine liquid, flavorings, some vegetable glycerine, and propylene glycol. I was inspired by listings of ingredients offered by some sellers of pre made e juice. I made my e juice with these simple affordable ingredients and nothing else. It works for me. Some suggest adding ethanol or water to the blend, but I haven't bothered since what I am doing works great. I mix a 50/50 blend of polyethylene glycol and vegetable glycerine, which is skewed just a little according to the base in my flavorings because they contain polyethylene glycol and sometimes ethyl alcohol. It still works fine and for the most part tastes great. I have run into some nasties that did not suit my personal preferences and I have some tried and trues. I can vape a caramel blend all day-but not everyone likes this. Its a hit or miss when trying out new flavorings and I suggest calibrating up slowly to a higher flavor strength. When I first started, I made some absolutely gross chocolate and cake batter experiments that started with 20% flavoring. Ugh! Worse, I wasted nicotine juice in these! Good thing I only made 5ml of each. They did not improve with time or lessening the amount of flavoring either. Some suggest steeping e juice, but I never bother. I'm more of a cheapster than a conniosseur. My goal after all is getting my satisfying fix for the best possible price. When I first began, I did my own calculations, but as I have written before-there are plenty of online calculators available that take the math out of the effort if you like. I do not use any fancy safety equipment either. Fumes and skin absorbtion have not been issues, but I am careful to avoid spills and to wash my hands before and after handling materials. I also keep my work area (the fabulous kitchen counter) wiped clean and dissallow children and pets when I'm mixing. Go for it! It's easy!
