No Escape!

There is nothing more perfect to illustrate the point of what continued disregard for our earth is going to do than to look at one of these:
To give proper credit for this image and learn some interesting fish information: http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/cloudy-aquarium-water/179264-fish-cloudy-water.html
Our Earth is our one time only, inescapable tank. There is no giant master hand to intervene and change our air and soil for us. If we don't take care of our natural filtration systems and quit overwhelming them, then we shall all die too-just as fish in a fouled tank expire from their own filth.
This is ugly and happening. 2015 was the hottest year on record. Human generated pollution is in every aspect of our environment. We must not give up searching for ways to lessen and remediate this giant waste and toxin overload. I'm not saying it's easy, and I'm certainly not saying that I am a perfect example of remediatory living, although the desire is there. I still don't have my composting potty! The community mindset around me is quite against the venture. I did, however, sneak in a nice dog waste composting venture as a precursor to the humanure exploit. The problem goes way beyond this small effort, but this, along with banning pesticides on my turf and opting for biodegradeable packaging whenever possible is as far as I have progressed. Yeah, I always take our cans in for recycling, but so many plastics go to the landfill! No one else really seems to care here and it is disheartening to see my neighbors spraying poisons while I'm trying to feed the bees unpoisoned nectar from my plants. I pour hot water on select persistent weeds (most always that cursed bermuda grass) and my neighbors douse things with Round Up. We could commit to solar street lighting in our neighborhood, but instead it's all about painting the mailboxes the right color and paying those HOA dues ontime to keep ripping up plants that decorate the front of the entrance in order to give an appearance of seasonal blooming appropriateness as well as running the inground sprinkler system to keep the suckers alive for their short stay. People gripe about their electricity bills, while sneering at solar panels as unsightly. and wind turbines as unpractical. Poisoned water runs into the storm drains with every rain. I'm tired. I'm crippled. I want this all to change. Why is it so hard to make a few changes? One thing that upsets me is when I hear someone say "I'm too old, I don't care. There is no point in me making a change." As long as there is life, there is possibility for change, no matter how old, tired and crippled one may be. Why surrender without a fight? No one has ever learned all that there is to know, regardless of age!
