I looked intensely at Chrome books. I looked intensely at laptops with Windows 10. I looked intensely at my finances and wondered what could do all that I require, have a large enough screen and keyboard to avoid my use of a magnifying glass, and cost the least amount of money? I found my solution a couple of days ago. My RCA Galileo tablet arrived today around 2, and I have been using it ever since (aside from a brief charging interlude in which I reverted back to my Viking Pro). I'm doing everything with this tablet that I did with my old Toshiba! Yeah, go ahead and snicker because I can't play P.C. games with it, but I wasn't much into them anyway. I'm more of a research rare diseases, buy stuff online and watch Netflix person anyway. As long as I can make a fairly decent table, look at some photos, and write the occasional business letter, my satisfaction is complete. I actually find typing more comfortable with this thing than my old Toshiba was. The keyboard is sized decently so that I don't press two keys at once, yet compact enough not to stretch the fingers so far. Yes, I did type fingers. The three that I use for typing are happy with this situation! I got my favorite apps free from Google Play or Amazon, and I didn't have to shell out for any Microsoft software. Oh yes, this is my kind of heaven. My one whine on my adventures with affordable yet good RCA tablets is that the charge only lasts about 6 hours. This is in battery saver mode. I have to confess though, that the old Toshiba wasn't doing much better toward the end. Of course, it was managing with a fairly cheap battery, and for the money, the cheap battery was O.K. A sweet thing about the RCA tablets that I own is the ports. I have things saved to standard USB drives, and the RCA tablets have ports (one on each) for that. Love it! They can be charged two ways: AC adapter or micro usb. MMM yess! I really don't feel any need for anything more at this time in my life! This newest Galileo version is just the right size in all of its aspects. As a side note, now that I can see the screen better I can go back through my posts and fix any embarrassing spelling errors I managed to miss.
