I once couldn't imagine wasting my very few dollars on phones. I always figured if somebody wanted to talk to me bad enough and knew me well enough, they could show up at the gate or front porch and I could either listen or run them off. I lived that way for years and was perfectly content. Later, when fancy little cell phones were invented, I always found ways to never work them into my budget. The thought of paying for minutes of talking on such infernal devices just stuck in my thrifty craw. A few years ago my daughter gave me her Net10 version of a Blackberry and for a time I kept it active, chiefly because of its camera capabilities. Eventually, buying time for this device just fell off my budget and it lay forgotten and gathering dust on a shelf. I acquired my little Toshiba laptop and felt it was all I needed. Internet is way more important than phone gabbing to me any day! I love email and some messenger apps, but rarely will I engage in any extended chat things. I have so many things to tinker with rather than that. I watched people get Kindles and Nooks and couldn't really see the point. I thought why mess with an electronic reader? Why not just grab a good old fashioned book and enjoy a nice long read in the bathtub? A book might get a bit damp but it would survive. I have had many book accidents in the tub that didn't totally kill the reading material but would have drowned an e reader. Let's fast forward this to the now and let me confess the depths of my recent complete corruption. I will never be the same. I fell in love with a cheap little Android powered LG. No way was I ever going to pay out the nose for a super fancy iPhone and be a slave to some contract carrier like Verizon, but I finally decided due to the extreme affordability of the prospect to give some TracFones a go. Oh I went bonkers, I went nuts. I got TracFones for everyone. Whatever model was offered free with a minute card was on my gotta try it list after I tasted my first one. My daughter hates the free one she has and I suspect rooting it and adding a micro SD card just might make hers more bearable. This daughter tasted the pleasures of an iPhone before it was whisked away most likely to China by an opportunist. Well at least it won't be near as painful if she drops her elcheapo in the toilet. I love my elcheapo. I read and listen to books with it. I have written on this blog with it, let the grandkid play games on it, etc. Oh and of course I text with it. Texting is so darn awesome! I might not hear very well, so when I must talk and listen, the speaker option makes my day. Let's not forget Netflix on it in a pinch, though the screen is rather small. I like the whole Android thing.
At first, until I understood it, I was annoyed. Now, I can't get and learn enough. I'm writing with a sweet Nexus7 tablet tonight. It doesn't have to be brand new tech for me to love it. This device seems quite satisfying as it is, so I doubt I'll try to delve and tweak it. Great camera too. Before I got my youngest daughter her elcheapo fone that she loves, I bought her a really cheap Tagital tablet. It frustrated her within weeks and was gathering dust bunnies after she found her gaming needs fulfilled by her elcheapo, so I decided to experiment on it. I have been studying Android device rooting and what better guinea pig than that thing? She had gotten a dreadful app that claimed to boost performance, but seemed in fact to boost ad delivery and no matter how I tried, I just couldn't get rid of the thing. U something speed booster my rear feathers! Hmph! I finally ended it's memory gobbling reign of terror and offers of big online poker wins tonight. After watching several YouTube how to videos, I gave KingRoot a try on it, and it worked! Eh, the thing wasn't under any appreciable warranty and there was nothing to lose. I suspect that now my daughter might like her little cheap tablet, although it's camera still sucks. The next candidate for KingRoot is the older daughter's elcheapo fone. I'm definitely no computer or smart phone tech expert, but this invention made it easy and I am itching to do it again. You too can enjoy the pleasures of removing those preloaded annoyances or accidentally installed demons easily by visiting https://kingroot.net .
